This brief guide offers detailed step-by-step instructions for verifying the correct forwarding of the Teads Click ID.
Before performing this check it is highly recommended to review and follow the instructions on the How to forward the Teads Click ID? article.
Open the creative preview from the Campaign’s Dashboard. For this stage your campaign needs to be in either Active or Pending stage (not Draft), this will ensure the click ID is forwarded in the test . If your campaign doesn’t follow this requisite please move to step 5. From the TAM’s homepage, click the 3 dots from your target campaign and then ‘Dashboard’ (Image 1 below).
Next, select the ‘Creatives’ tab, hover the desired creative and click ‘Preview creative’.
From the creative preview click your creative anywhere.
Once in the landing page, verify by checking the resolved URL in your browser’s address bar. Go to the very end of the resolved URL and you should be able to see ‘auctid=campaignTag-preview_‘ followed by a random set of numbers. If so, your Teads Click ID is being forwarded correctly.
As an alternative, you can also expand your Teads Pixel Helper and look for the Teads Click ID under ‘General Information’ (Image 2 below).
In case your campaign is still in Draft stage, we present an alternative below. Keep in mind, to test the correct implementation the steps above should be followed once your campaign is in either Active or Pending stage. From your draft campaign Creative Library, click on the desired creative ‘Preview’ and continue from step 3.
Note: If you’re proceeding with the test from a campaign in Draft stage, you should see &auctid=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 instead of &auction_id=campaignTag-preview_f628f2db-832d-4bc5-b122-a3e8d04a23ad.
