Verify Teads Click ID forwarding

Learn how to verify the correct implementation of the Teads Click ID to ensure accurate measurement and optimal campaign performance.

This guide provides a detailed, step-by-step process for verifying the proper forwarding of the Teads Click ID to ensure accurate campaign tracking and optimization.

  1. Access the Creative Preview

    • From the Campaign Dashboard, open the creative preview. Ensure your campaign is in either the Active or Pending stage (not in Draft). This is necessary to forward the Click ID during the test.

    • If your campaign is in Draft, skip to Step 5 for an alternative method.

    • To access the dashboard, navigate to the TAM Homepage, click the three dots next to your target campaign, and select Dashboard (see Image 1 below).

  2. Open the Creative Preview

    • Go to the Creatives tab in the Dashboard, hover over the desired creative, and click Preview creative.

  3. Interact with the Creative

    • Click anywhere on the previewed creative to proceed to the landing page.

  4. Check the Resolved URL

    • On the landing page, examine the resolved URL in your browser's address bar. At the end of the URL, you should see 'auctid=campaignTag-preview_' followed by a random string of numbers. If this is visible, the Teads Click ID is being forwarded correctly.

Alternative method for Draft campaigns

  1. Go to the Creative Library within your draft campaign.

  2. Click Preview on the desired creative.

  3. Follow steps 3 and 4 above.

Note: When testing a Draft campaign, the resolved URL will display &auctid=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 instead of an actual ID such as &auction_id=campaignTag-preview_f628f2db-832d-4bc5-b122-a3e8d04a23ad.

Using Teads Pixel Helper

  1. Alternatively, expand the Teads Pixel Helper tool.

  2. Under the General Information section, confirm that the Teads Click ID is visible (see Image 2 below).
