This article provides guidance on creating, saving, and generating reports using the Reporting tab.

To access the report section, log in to Teads Ad Manager and click on the Reports tab located at the top of the page.

Reports list

In the report section, you will find a comprehensive list of all your generated reports. Each report listed here includes the following information:

  • ID

    • Unique identifier of your report, generated automatically

  • Report Name

    • Name given when setting up the report

  • Status

    • Saved: No report files available. Run the report to generate one.

    • Available: Report files available and ready for download

  • Created On

    • Date when the report was created

  • Updated On

    • Date when the report was last updated

  • Date Range

    • Date range of the data included in the report

You can also search for specific reports using the search bar by report name.

On the left side of each report ID, you will see a drop-down menu represented by three dots. From this menu, you can perform the following actions:

  • View

    • Information will appear on the right with the report details:

      • Date Range

      • Schedule

      • Format

      • Emails

      • Seats

      • Advertisers

      • Campaigns

      • Dimensions

      • Metrics

      • Recently generated reports

  • Edit

    • By clicking on this option, you will be directed to the report edit page where you can modify the information as needed and save the changes.

  • Duplicate

    • You will be asked to provide a name for your duplicated report. Once named, all the details will be duplicated in a new entry.

  • Download

    • By selecting this option, the most recent generated file will be downloaded.

  • Run & Download

    • By selecting this option, the system will run the report to verify if any recent updates have been made before downloading the file.

  • Run & Send by Email

    • By selecting this option, the system will run the report to verify if any recent updates have been made before sending the file via email. Upon selecting this option, you will be asked to provide the email address(es) where you want the report to be sent to.

  • Delete

    • A confirmation message will appear to confirm this action. Once you click "Delete," the report will be removed from your report list dashboard.

Create a new report

Clicking on "New Report" at the top right will redirect you to a page where you can create a new report template.

You will need to fill out the following fields:

  • Report name

  • Filter by:

    • Seats

      • You can now run a single custom report across all accessible seats, making it easier to retrieve aggregated data.

      • The report will run on your logged-in seat by default, but you can choose one or more seats from the dropdown menu.

    • Advertisers

    • Campaigns

      • Note: If no campaign is selected, the report will generate data for all campaigns accessible to you.

  • Date Range: Select the Start date and End date of the data you want to generate on the top right

  • Metrics and Dimensions

    • Find a Dimension or a Metric on the left panel.

    • Click and drag to re-order the lines on the right panels for Dimensions and Metrics.

  • Report Settings

    • Select the timezone of your report

    • Select the Format type: choose to retrieve the report via Excel (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv) format

Manage your Report

  • Schedule

    • Toggle on the Schedule button if you would like to schedule the report.

    • Choose the period of data being retrieved

      • Previous day: retrieves data from the previous day.

      • Previous week: retrieves data from the previous full week.

      • Past 7 days: retrieves data from the last 7 days.

      • Previous month: retrieves data from the last full month.

      • Sliding month: retrieves data up to the same day of the previous month.

      • Month to date: retrieves data from the start of the month until the current date.

      • Custom date range option: retrieves data from the selected dates

    • Choose the frequency of the data to be generated:

      • Every day: generate a daily report.

      • Every week: generate a weekly report on Mondays at the beginning of each week.

      • Every month: generate a monthly report on the 1st day of each month.

      • Delivery day option: generate the report on the desired day.

    • Option to send the report via email

      • You can add multiple email addresses here by typing each email address and clicking 'Return'/'Enter'. Once added, they will appear in a box below.

    • Click Add.

Recurrent reports will continue to populate in the Report History at the set frequency unless deleted from the seat

  • Run & Download

    • The report will be generated & downloaded but not saved into the Reports list.

    • Option to Run & Send by Email is available.

      • Enter the email(s) to send the report to in the box. Click 'Enter/Return' button after typing the email address. Once added, they will appear in a box below.

  • Save your new report

    • Save: the report will be saved into the report tab but will not be generated.

    • Save as: a duplicate version of this report can be created.

    • Save and Run: Save the report in the Report tab and generate the initial report in the report history.

Limitations

  • Reporting data is available from January 2020 onwards.

  • Report period (date range) cannot exceed 1 year for a given report.

Note: To enhance security, reports within a seat are personalized for individual users, ensuring that colleagues cannot view each other's reports.

This also works with our Reporting API and is accessible via the ad_owner filter. This speeds up your reports significantly by allowing you to consolidate all seat data into a single report.
