BETA Set-Up Guidelines for creating a CTV HomeScreen campaign

Follow these steps to create a CTV HomeScreen Campaign in Teads Ad Manager.

  1. Log into www.ads.teads.tv and check that you are in the correct seat at the top right corner. For more information about seats, see here.

  2. Click on New Campaign on the top right at Campaign list and select Branding objective.

    • If the campaign is part of an Omni-channel campaign setup (i.e. also using InRead / CTV Instream lines), ensure the total budget and flight dates are input as required.

  3. Add Line Items (separate the lines for Video and Display)

    • Click Add Line and select CTV HomeScreen as the line type.

      • Note: Do not combine Video and Display under a single line; create individual lines (and separate creative bundles) for each.

    • Enter Line Item Name, Budget, Start/End Dates and Frequency as standard.

    • Recommendation: Set Pacing to Ahead to help maintain delivery.

  4. Upload Creative Assets

    1. Select New Creative > CTV HomeScreen.

    2. Enter the Creative Name and Advertiser Domain.

      • Note: The Advertiser Domain refers to the brand’s website domain, not a redirect URL.

    3. Upload creative assets according to the specifications provided on this page.

      • Note: at least one Masthead format is mandatory for CTV HomeScreen lines.

        • For Masthead Display Creatives, a single Display asset matching the creative specification will suffice.

        • For Masthead Video Creatives, a Masthead Display asset will need to be provided in addition to the Video unit (acts as a placeholder while the video loads).

  5. Apply Targeting

    • Geo: Country, City targeting are available.

    • Audience Targeting: Teads Omnichannel Audiences are available for activation across all CTV HomeScreen markets.

  6. Select your bidding strategy

    • CPM buying is the only buying method available for CTV HomeScreen line items.

    • Auction: Both Dynamic and Fixed price auctions are supported.

      • Recommendation: For pricing guidance and recommended CPM rates in your market, please reach out to your local Teads representatives.

  7. Click Save Draft at the bottom right bar if you are not done with editing your campaign details yet, or click Go Live to activate your campaign.

Creative Approval

  • In parallel with Teads’ usual 24 hour SLAs for Self Serve campaign approval, HomeScreen creatives require additional time for creative approval following campaign submission (Go Live). This is an SLA of up to 3 working days.

  • Please notify your Teads team when the campaign or new CTV HomeScreen creatives are set live so that they can be approved and activated.

Note: Some OEMs may automatically reject creatives from certain advertisers/advertiser categories.
